Foster Homes
Summit Community Foster Care presently maintains eight Treatment Foster Homes within the rural and central areas of Sault Ste. Marie.
Each home has a live in Foster Parent with support from Residential Youth Workers.
This model of care is also known as a Mixed Modality Program.
Our homes are well structured, reality based, and Ministry Licensed to care for children between the ages of 4 – 17. There is a strong emphasis on building good relationships and respect towards each other. Personal accountability, consistency and goal setting are stressed while in a family atmosphere where communication skills are developed.
